Hotel Brooklyn in Leicester joins forces with Ellesmere College, Leicester City Council and DFN Project Search to launch new employment programme.
Hotel Brooklyn in Leicester is delighted to announce the launch of their new, life-changing employment DFN Project SEARCH programme for young adults with a learning disability or autism.
The programme will provide vital work-based learning opportunities at the Brooklyn Hotel,
Leicester with a view to helping the interns develop their employability skills as well as providing
hands-on experience in the workplace. Those on the programme will be offered rotating
placements throughout the hotel in areas such as catering, housekeeping and maintenance.
Paul Bayliss MBE, Regional General Manager of the Hotel Brooklyn Brand, Bespoke Hotels Ltd said: “Its another fantastic initiative to ensure everyone is able to join our roster. The Hotel
Brooklyn Brand as part of its DNA wellbeing and inclusivity and this is another great example of
this activity in action. Allowing anyone to apply for a role no matter their challenges changes
lives; we know this is true because we see good people flourish in hospitality. All’s we ask of our
people is to get to work on time, look smart and have a great attitude to their role, guests and
fellow team members. If they can do that then we’ll do the rest with them and help them in their
career”
To be eligible for the programme, applicants must be aged 18 – 25, live in Leicester, and have an
Education Health and Care (EHC) Plan.
